Appointments
Initial assessments are conducted in person. Follow-up appointments are available in person or via telehealth, where clinically appropriate.
Referrals
Referrals are reviewed to ensure the practice is an appropriate fit for your clinical needs and to determine whether an appointment can be offered. Responses are generally provided within 1–2 weeks. Following review, I’ll contact you or your referrer to discuss the outcome and, where an appointment can be offered, provide the next available appointment time.
One-off psychiatric assessments (Medicare item 291) and medico-legal assessments are not available.
Fees
Consultations are privately billed. Please contact the practice for current fee information.
A pre-payment of 50% of the consultation fee is required to secure an initial assessment appointment. This amount will be deducted from the total consultation fee on the day of your appointment.
Medicare rebates are available with a valid referral, subject to Medicare eligibility. If eligible, you may also receive higher Medicare benefits through the Medicare Safety Net once you reach the relevant annual threshold. Further information is available from Services Australia - Medicare Safety Nets.
Cancellations
Please provide at least 2 business days' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Appointments cancelled with less than 2 business days' notice, or appointments not attended, may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee. Appointments cancelled with less than 1 business day's notice, or not attended without notice, may incur the full consultation fee.
